As we all know, 2020 has been a tough year all around. Businesses, especially restaurants, are being hit hard. Would-be diners are wary of venturing inside restaurants, many of which are having a hard time setting up for a socially distanced, safe dining experience.
August marked the one-year anniversary of Popeye’s super-successful (and delicious) chicken sandwich. So they started up a social media campaign with the tagline “Y’all good?” It’s a simple message designed to let people know that Popeye’s is thinking about their customers and that they’re still cooking up delicious fried chicken sandwiches.
But it’s not just social – Popeye’s also launched a Times Square ball drop four months early, marking the one-year anniversary in a very big and visible way.
How’s that for a cause celebre at a time when people need cheering up the most?
